NatureDoc Brain Food Talk @ Storystock
The lovely people at StoryStock have asked me to do a Brain Food Talk at StoryStock Circus of Stories on Thursday 29th October at 6.45pm at The Bush Theatre. This is part of the ‘Ask the Expert’ parenting events being held in the evenings after the Circus of Stories events. Come to discover nutrition tips, which food helps children’s behaviour, mood or school performance, and learn simple ways to introduce better brain foods. Bookings are through the website.
This is one of my favourite annual events and I love to take my kids along – a great October half term activity option, when it is pretty cold and wet outside. Stories will be brought to life by Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell (Goth Girl), literary legend Judith Kerr (Tiger Who Came to Tea), Jamila Gavin (Coram Boy), Kristina Stephenson (Sir Charlie Stinkysocks) and many more.
Also roll up for live literature shows including The Hip Hop Shakespeare Show, Michael Morpurgo’s I Believe in Unicorns, The Harry Potter Show, the premiere of the Myth Marathon and The Diary of the Wimpy Kid show is back by popular demand! We are particularly looking forward to the Harry Potter show and the letter writing workshop.
There will be creative workshops from animation to Caractacus Pott’s science workshop.
And for under 4s, the Storytent will host stories read by the Blue Kangaroo, the Tiger, Alice and her Wonderland friends, and favourite fairy tale characters.
Once you have exhausted your children, come back at 6.45pm on Thursday evening to my brain food talk. Here you can learn more about how great nutrition can affect their brain power and learn some simple tools to help your kids to be switched on, healthy and happy! I will share some simple health tips to get your kids brains back on track. Bookings through Bush Theatre website. See you there!
