Berry Kefir Smoothie

Kefir is a” supercharged” cultured, fermented drink similar to yoghurt which provides a diverse range of beneficial food based probiotic strains plus plenty of protein, calcium, B vitamins and potassium.
It has a slightly sharp taste so mixing it with frozen berries makes a delicious and nutritious drink for the whole family. Try this yummy berry kefir smoothie, which also contains lots of healthy fats from nut butter and hemp seeds.

Berry Kefir Smoothie
Ingredients
- 125 ml Kefir
- 75 ml Almond milk
- 100 g Mixed Berries (frozen)
- 1 tsp Cashew nut butter (be generous)
- 1 tsp Hemp seeds (can use chia seeds)
- 1 Medjool Date (stone removed)
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into a blender and whizz up for about 45-60 seconds until smooth.
Notes
- Makes small-ish portions. For adults, you might want to double it up.
