Raspberry Chia Smoothie

Raspberry Chia Smoothie is one the blends all my children love to drink at breakfast time. With a lovely combination of raspberries, pineapple, kale, chia seeds and almond milk, this smoothie ticks every box in terms of nutrition. Packed full of good brain boost omega fats, fibre, vitamins and calcium.

Chia seeds are one of the best sources of calcium, fibre and also contain omega 3 fatty acids. These little seeds, the size of a sesame seed, may be a great boost to your dairy-free child’s diet especially if they also flat refuses to eat fish! A key sign they may be low in brain boosting omega 3 fatty acids is bumpy chicken-like skin on their upper arms or face. Other signs they need more fatty acids is dry skin, excess thirst, tiredness, poor concentration or mood swings.
