Ingredient: Blueberries

Squidgy and sweet blueberries are bursting with goodness, and they are rich in vitamin C for immunity and vitamin K to stop bruising. Blueberries are thought to have one of the highest antioxidant levels amongst the plant kingdom and have also been found to boost up lactobacillus in the gut microbiome which is so essential for health.
They are even known to help focus and concentration – one study found that eating blueberries at breakfast helped afternoon concentration and this boost of focus lasts at least five hours after consumption. They may also help bolster memory and may even help with age-related neurocognitive issues like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Blueberries are also very heart-friendly and are thought to help reduce cholesterol and lower blood pressure.
Sprinkle some on your granola, yoghurt or porridge in the morning and always keep some in your freezer to add to smoothies and to make compotes.
