Raspberry Lemonade Electrolyte
This tasty raspberry lemonade is a refreshing electrolyte-filled drink, offering a healthier option to those dreadful UPF-fuelled drinks that some kids are attracted to. Let your child stand out with the coolest drink in their class and become obsessed with this great hydrating mix. It’s a super simple revitalising drink that older kids can easily prepare when they need a boost.
Coconut water provides potassium and magnesium, while both raspberries and maple syrup (as well as honey) contain small amounts of potassium, magnesium, and calcium. You can add a pinch of sea salt, Pink Himalayan salt or Celtic salt if you need a sodium burst to the electrolyte blend on hot days or when anyone is spiking a fever.

Raspberry Lemonade Electrolyte
Ingredients
- 150 ml Coconut Water (chilled)
- 1/2 Lemon (juice only)
- 40 g Raspberries (frozen)
- 1 tsp Maple Syrup (or runny honey)
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients into a blender, and whizz until smooth, which takes about a minute!
- This method includes the raspberry seeds. However if you or your child likes their drinks extra smooth, then press the mixture through a sieve to remove the raspberry seeds entirely.
Notes
- Switch the raspberries to strawberries or the lemon to lime for a change.
- Stores in the fridge for up to 3 days and the freezer in ice cubes for up to 3 months. It is handy to have some ice cubes stored at the ready for moments of feeling dehydrated.
Per serving. Nutrition content in food is never consistent, so take these estimates with a pinch of salt! Also, our recipes tend to use low-GI carbs and sugars, so these values are not directly comparable with shop-bought UPFs.
