Mango Orange Omega 3 Smoothie
Almost everyone knows that omega 3 is a great brain food. The problem is that many children simply do not or will not regularly eat oily fish. The closest they might come to this is a fish finger! If you have a child who desperately needs omega 3, then this mango orange omega 3 smoothie is the answer.
This tasty smoothie is a particularly good choice for those who does not eat enough fish and are not consistent at taking a good quality omega 3 fish oil supplement. There are two hidden ingredients in this smoothie – flax seed (linseed) and chia seed which are both bursting with plant powered omega 3 and fibre. The chia seeds also provide a great calcium boost.
Your children will love this totally delicious and sweet smoothie as the seeds do not alter the taste or texture of the gorgeous mango-orange combination. The mango and orange will also give your kids a vitamin C boost, which is important for their immune system. Remember to store the seeds in the fridge to preserve their great omega 3 properties.
