Ingredient: Olive Oil

Olive oil is made by pressing the olives to release their delicious oil. Extra virgin olive oil is the first press and is typically unrefined. Subsequent pressings of the olives use heat and chemicals to extract the rest of the olive oil.
Olive Oil is one of the healthiest fats on the planet. It is rich in oleic acid, Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids for healthy skin, heart and brain. Olive oil is packed with powerful antioxidants (extra virgin olive oil has more of these than regular olive oil) that reduce inflammation and have been found to lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancers, arthritis, dementia and obesity.
It’s best to choose regular olive oil for cooking at high heat and save the extra virgin olive oil for salad dressings or cooking at low heat.
