Ingredient: Peanut Butter
Are you a smooth or crunchy peanut butter lover? Peanut butter has made significant progress in recent years and is much healthier than it used to be. In the past, it was full of sugar and additives and now it is usually a relatively unprocessed food. The better brands often only contain organic roasted peanuts with a pinch of salt added.
Nutritionally, peanut butter is packed with phospholipids, making it great for brain health, and it serves as an excellent plant-based source of protein. Additionally, it contains essential nutrients such as manganese, magnesium, Vitamin B3, and Vitamin E.
Just like other nut butters, peanut butter is wonderfully versatile. You can make a delicious dip or satay sauce like my Brainy Peanut Butter Dip; add a big dollop to a smoothie or bowl of porridge, try my Banana & Peanut Butter Quinoa Porridge; cover it with chocolate, as in my Peanut Butter Caramel Crunch Bars; or you can simply spread it on toast and top with a banana.
