Sophie Henderson
About Sophie
A Nutritional Therapist specialising in neurological health and developmental delay. Sophie also has massive experience and knowledge, from caring for her autistic son with serious gut issues. She specialises in gut-brain connection and how gut function and the microbiome can affect neurodevelopment.Â
Sophie has always had an interest in nutrition and health, which intensified when 18 years ago her son was diagnosed with severe regressive autism and associated bowel disorder. This led her to many years of research in nutrition, laboratory testing, dietary interventions and food supplements and culminated in her completing a 3-year diploma at CNM in London in naturopathic nutrition and her continued interest in keeping up to date on any developments in this area. Sophie believes in working closely with the individual and setting realistic and achievable goals.
Particular areas of interest are autism, ADHD, PANS/PANDAS, cerebral palsy, rare and complex congenital conditions, mast cell activation, histamine intolerance, PoTS, Ehlers Danlos syndrome and hyper mobility as well as gut health and immune challenges.
Based in West Sussex, she currently only sees clients virtually via our video Telehealth system.
