Katy Gordon-Smith
About Katy
Katy is a highly-experienced Nutritional Therapist and Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with an MSc in Nutritional Medicine with Distinction. She specialises in children’s health, with a special interest in neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric challenges such as ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, PANDAS/PANS and restrictive eating. She is open and friendly, and her experience and technical knowledge is enormous. She practises in Sloane Square, from her clinic in Berkshire and via our video-based Telehealth system.
Having originally obtained a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy with Distinction from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, she then completed a Master of Science Degree in Nutritional Medicine at the University of Surrey, accredited by the Association for Nutrition. As part of her MSc, she has completed primary research into the bioactive compounds of fermented kimchi with the aim of making fermented foods more accessible to all.
Prior to clinical practice, Katy was Scientific Affairs lead at Danone Early Life Nutrition for 7 years. Here she had the pleasure of working collaboratively with the UK’s leading paediatric specialists across gastroenterology, neonatology, allergy, infant, toddler and childhood feeding, as well as with Research and Development teams on clinical trials in the field of early life nutrition and specialised nutrition products.
Katy then decided she wanted to work directly with children and families on their nutrition, no matter how messy it got!
Katy’s approach is grounded in science but respectful of Mother Nature and her expertise lies in pre-conception, postnatal, infant, toddler and children’s (including adolescent) nutritional health.
Katy is married with two young children and lives in Berkshire. She adores the great outdoors: is a regular cross-country runner and forest walker, and occasional marathon runner.
