Emily Hohler
About Emily
Emily graduated from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London with distinction. She has a particular interest in autoimmunity, female hormones and digestive issues, and her practice is informed by her teenage son, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of four. She practices from her clinic in West Oxfordshire and provides video consultations via our secure telehealth system.
A Registered Nutritional Therapist, Emily has worked with clients suffering from a wide range of conditions, from autoimmune conditions such as type 1 diabetes to fibromyalgia and migraine, but she particularly enjoys helping tired, stressed perimenopausal and menopausal women recover their health and zest for life. With a deep understanding of longevity, she helps both men and women optimise their health to enjoy a long and active life.
She also works with young people and teens to support post-viral health, skin health, gut issues, stress management, and immune challenges. Emily supports teenagers and pre-teens who live with ADHD and associated difficulties with focus, impulsivity, emotional regulation and executive function.
Her natural curiosity and appetite for research, honed by nearly three decades working as a journalist for national newspapers and magazines, mean that she works hard to uncover the root causes of symptoms. She uses an evidence-based approach in order to best support people’s health.
Emily strongly believes that there are many factors that can affect an individual’s health – from genes to the environment, down to the way we breathe – that any protocol must be personally tailored to have the best chance of being effective. If you are keen to make long-term changes to your habits, diet and lifestyle, then work with Emily.
Emily is married and lives with her three university-aged children in Oxfordshire. She trained as a cook at the Grange Cookery School, and years of cooking daily family meals have made her well-versed in feeding someone with food sensitivities. She also grows her own vegetables and fruit, practices yoga and loves wild swimming and walking in the Highlands.
She read French and Spanish at Magdalen College, Oxford.
