    Ingredient: Strawberries

These heart-shaped juicy red berries are as good for you as they look. Bursting with vitamin C, Strawberries will support your immune system and help with collagen production.

They also contain natural antioxidants, such as ellagic acid, which are thought to protect against oxidative stress. Strawberries are rich in anthocyanins, which may help cognitive function and emotional health. Strawberries can also be good for your digestion as they are full of fibre, and they will help keep your blood sugar levels steady!

In your kitchen, strawberries are wonderfully versatile and work as beautifully in a rocket and goat’s cheese salad as they do layered with mascarpone and a drizzle of honey and scattering of mint, for an easy pudding.

Look out for these plump red berries, with a heady summer fragrance, those that you can almost smell before you see, these will be perfectly ripe and bursting with flavour. If you have more than you can eat, they will freeze well for smoothies or you can simmer them with some chia seeds for a quick, easy to-cook jam for spreading over warm toast.
